A Santa Fe resident, Signe received her BA from University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, 1959, and her MA, University of NM, Albuquerque, NM, 1961. She also attended Yale-Norfolk Summer Art School, Norfolk, CT, 1959 and Ad Reinhardt Seminar, University of Oregon,1964.
